Education
The Democratic Farmer Labor Party is committed to improving the educational success of students in Minnesota. We all know that children thrive on a full stomach. That’s why the 2023 passage of legislation that provides no-cost breakfast and lunch to the state’s students, regardless of their family’s income, is proving so successful. Schools saw a significant increase in the number of meals served in just the initial month of the program. And the 2023 legislature addressed the affordability of college tuition by enacting the North Star Promise scholarship program, making a post-secondary education affordable to any student attending any Minnesota public or tribal college or university whose family’s adjusted gross income falls below $80,000. As the number one issue for employers is finding qualified employees, the investment in Minnesotans will be long-lasting - for individuals and for Minnesota’s economy.
The Minnesota DFL leads the way.
The DFL Party believes democracy starts at the grassroots.
That is why our process begins at precinct caucuses and continues to conventions at each level to endorse candidates, elect party leaders, and shape the party platform.
These gatherings are an important way to get involved in the democratic process and make your voice heard.
